Graduate Diploma of Computing (GDC)
The Graduate Diploma in Computing is designed for non-IT graduates seeking a career change by moving into the IT industry or by enchancing their existing career with IT qualifications. The GDC provides a selection of computing subjects that provide a grounding in basic IT topics.
The GDC prepare non-IT graduates for admission to the Master of Information Technology.
The Graduate Diploma of Computing has been accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Admission Requirements
- a Bachelor’s degree, with a credit average, in a discipline other than IT. Applicants are assumed to possess significant numeracy skills such as those found in a Science or Engineering degree.
- a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with more than five years experience working in the information technology industry.

- COMP5206 Introduction to Information Systems
- COMP5214 Software Development in Java
- COMP5212 Software Construction
- COMP5114 Digital Media Fundamentals
- COMP5028 Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- COMP5116 Internet Protocols
