Study With Us!

Our students follow in a tradition of leadership that began in 1883, when the University of Sydney introduced engineering education to New South Wales.

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies is the largest faculty precinct at the University and has some 4500 students and 120 academic staff. Students learn in purpose-designed facilities with sophisticated laboratories, alongside researchers who work at the forefront of new technologies.

The Faculty consists of five Schools including:

  • the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering
  • the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
  • the School of Civil Engineering
  • the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, and
  • the School of Information Technologies

In line with the ever-evolving needs of the engineering and IT professional and researcher, the University continues to offer new areas of postgraduate study. Recent additions include aerospace, wireless engineering, power engineering, computer networks engineering, and structural and foundation engineering.

See our coursework and research pages for more detailed information on the exciting degree opportunities available to you and visit our application page for a step-by-step guide on how to apply.
