Master of Professional Engineering

Master of Professional Engineering

The Master of Professional Engineering (MPE) is part of a Conversion Masters Program consisting of 3 years combination of Graduate Diploma (1 year) and Master of Professional Engineering (2 years).

The program is structured to allow students to gain the same technical and professional outcomes as would be achieved in a 4 year Bachelor of Engineering program, along with enhanced outcomes appropriate to the Masters level. It covers foundation subjects, professional engineering and specialist units of study that form defined engineering streams or majors. The units are taught with pedagogy appropriate for graduates, and all students complete a capstone project which integrates their knowledge and skills.

The MPE is designed to attract:

  • Engineering graduates from overseas to convert their qualification and work as a Professional Engineer in Australia
  • Students with non-engineering qualifications who want to become engineers
  • Engineering graduates who wish to change their career direction
