Research interests

Dr Richard Spinney studies non-equilibrium thermodynamic processes and their relation to computation and complex systems. In particular he seeks to understand and exploit the connections between the information theoretic techniques commonly used to study complexity and their utility in studying the thermodynamics of small systems.
