The scholarships and awards listed below are open to current students in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies.

When making your application pay attention to the terms and conditions of each award, and follow the application instructions carefully.

Be aware of the closing date for each award. Applications submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.

The Turbomeca Undergraduate Scholarship

Who should apply:: Second Year students in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering

Value: $4,000 p.a.

Duration: Third and fourth year of the degree (or fourth and fifth year of a combined degree program)

Other Information: Includes a 10-12 week paid industrial placement with Turbomeca

Bilfinger Berger Services Undergraduate Scholarship for Tomorrows Engineering Leaders

Who should apply: Third Year students in the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), (Mechanical) (Civil-Structures) and (Chemical) degrees, (or fourth year students in these Combined degrees)

Value: $5,000 p.a.

Duration: Fourth year of the degree (or fifth year of a combined degree program)

Other Information: May include a 10-12 week paid industrial placement with Bilfinger Berger Services Australasia

This scholarship has closed for 2008

Department of Defence – The Shannon Hanniffy and Cameron Howie Memorial Scholarship

Who should apply: Second Year Civil Engineering students. Combined Degree students must seek written permission from the Department and further conditions will apply.
Value: $9,000 per semester

Duration: 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year of the degree

Other Information: Includes an annual 12 week paid industrial placement with the Department

Closing date: Wednesday, 15 April 2009

GHD Civil Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship

Value: $7,000 p.a.

Duration: Fourth year of the degree (or fifth year of a combined degree program)

Other Information: Includes a 10-12 week paid industrial placement with GHD
