Whether you're thinking about undertaking a degree in engineering, computing or project management, our Leadership Scholarship program will provide you with the key skills and industry networks necessary to build a successful career.

About the scholarship

Our Leadership Scholarship is one of the most valuable undergraduate scholarships in Australia, offering generous financial support and extensive leadership development. Our aim is to shape you as a future industry leader by fostering your passion and motivation, and providing you with the hands-on experience as well as technical skills highly valued by prospective employers. We also prepare you to be an excellent communicator, with the confidence to work effectively within teams and with clients.

It's this well-rounded experience that will help you to stand head and shoulders above the crowd once you've completed your degree. You'll be offered a structured professional experience program with some of Australia's leading firms, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and networks for up to 20 weeks during your degree.


Our scholarship will provide you with many opportunities, including:

  • $18,000 per year for a maximum of four years
  • professional industry placement with leading firms and organisations
  • participation in the Faculty Leadership Program, where you will gain the –
  • skills and knowledge required for self-leadership
  • capacity to build and work effectively in teams
  • ability to understand relationship and stakeholder management
  • networking opportunities with  key alumni, government and industry leaders
  • mentorship from academic staff and an industry mentor.


To be successful, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities, creativity, innovation, and self‑motivation in your application.

This scholarship is not based entirely on academic results, however a high ATAR is required. If you are expecting an ATAR of 98 or above in the NSW HSC (or equivalent), you should consider applying. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
